1 bag of stuffed shells (I love the Aldi Priano brand)
7.5 ounces alfredo sauce (half of the 15 oz jar)
12 ounces marinara sauce (1/2 of 24 ounce jar)
1 pound Italian sausage
2 cups mozzarella cheese (Buy 8 ounce block and shred your own will melt better but bagged cheese works as well!)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Brown 1 pound Italian sausage until cooked through and then drain.
- Return meat to the skillet and add half the jar (approx 7.5 ounces) of alfredo sauce and half the jar of marinara sauce (approx. 12 ounces). Stir together.
- Spread enough meat sauce on the bottom of the casserole dish just to barely cover the bottom.
- Add the shells side by side in the pan (they can be different directions to get them to fit)
- Spread meat sauce over the shells and then top with the mozzarella cheese. Cover dish with foil.
- Bake for 25 minutes if the shells are thawed and 45 minutes if still frozen.
